The HB Two/Tonepickups are really two great pickups in one that can be switched silently on the fly between its full-on humbucking mode and "single-coil" sounding alternate mode. Joe Barden's unique design ensures that the sound is noiseless and free of hum in either mode. The pickup is designed to fit into a standard Gibson-sized humbucker body route without modification to the guitar.
The HB Two/Tone has tight lows and mids with exceptionally good presence that literally lifts your guitar out of the mix. There is no need for excessive volume to separate you from your bandmates.
The HB Two/Tone is great in any dual humbucker guitar, but is equally at home in your HSS or HSH Strat TM. You can get those fat sounds from your Strat while preserving the SSS character of a standard Strat by simply switching the HB Two/Tone to its alternate single-coil sounding mode. WOW! Now you can preserve everything you like about a Strat while getting all the meat of a humbucker when you want it. And, remember....both coils are operational in either mode so there is never any hum or noise, and switching between modes is silent.
